Would love to know if you have fallen off track and yo-yo dieted over the year like i have ?

It crazy when i sit down and really think about all the diets, pills and shakes i have brought over the year only to lose the weight and gain it straight back and then some. I have worked out that i have probably lost and gained over the year around 200kgs
I wish i had realised that you need to go back to basics and eat well and exercise
It makes me sad to see so many girls in the FREE Fat 2 Fit NZ forum (www.encouragemenz.co.nz to join) asking for the quickest way to lose 20kgs by Christmas or how do i get the weight off the fastest?
I can so relate to that. That was me for the last 10+ years.
I think only with age that i have i realised that the problem first starts mentally with a choice to change and that you can't change over night, you need to make small steps each day to get to your end result.
I look back to my early 20's and regret that i didn't start sooner to take note of what i was putting into my body. At times i used to drink 3L of Pepsi max a day.
I wish i had tried to change my eating habits and binge eating.
But i guess we can't look back and wonder what if, we need to look back and use that to move forward. I can't go back and change my life so far, but what i can do as a parent is try and set a good example now for my kids and hopefully they wont go through the same love/hate relationship with their bodies as i did.
What would you if you could go back and tell the 16 year old you?
I would tell her that life isn't going to be easy. You are going to make really bad relationship decisions and you will at time hate yourself, but you are amazing and you aren't what he says you are.
You need to treat your body more kindly. Don't drink so much and take care of the only body you have.
You aren't as big as you think you are. Men don't just want tiny thin woman. Be more confident. You will be tested over the year with being a single parent twice and use that to grow and build yourself. Try and slow down more and enjoy your kids. Go swimming with your kids, no one is judging of looking at you. You aren't an embarrassment to your kids They love you the way you are.
Don't spend all your days worrying about what you look like cause one day you will wake up 30 and have to many regrets!
What would you tell yourself if you could????
